Missed us?

Well, for those of you who don't have a Facebook account (Nonna!) and haven't checked Google+ (Nonna!) and tend to not check your email in long stretches and then ask us to send pictures again (Nonna!) we are going to TRY to start posting some pictures and updates on our blog again.  There are others out there, but a certain one (Nonna!) is more fun to pick on.  ;-)  Love ya!

For starters, I am the proud, but mostly petrified, owner of a fancy new camera.  Here are some of our practice pictures from the first 24 hours:

Then we celebrated Uncle Danny's birthday:

So, a few days ago, we went to the National Air & Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center, to see the Discovery Shuttle.  GP (my Dad), Ruthi, and Ryan tagged along with the girls and I.  ;-)  It was a great time.  We even saw "Hubble" in the IMAX theater there.  I highly recommend seeing it, but the 3D version at the D.C. location is probably better.

Afterwards, GP's friend John very kindly agreed to escort us around the command tower at Dulles Airport.  What an amazing experience!  We had so much fun meeting the air traffic controllers, and Zoe and Sydney loved learning about how some of the radar worked from John.  In fact, Zoe still talks about how the plane shows up on one screen while on the ground, and then appears on another screen after take off.  Smarty pants.

On Monday we had a Pizza Party with my sister, niece, nephew and GP.  Yet another good time!  We all picked from the overwhelming amount of toppings (thank you Wegman's (aka Wegmere's)!).

Finally, this morning, we had a follow-up pizza bash to our pizza party.  We grabbed some tortillas, the leftover toppings, and put together tortilla pizzas.  As I write this, Zoe is almost finished with her entire tortilla.  Syd is trying to stall by singing ... cute, but it won't work!  I just told her she was "busted!" so hopefully she'll eat another slice.

Well, that's it for now.  Stay tuned for another update!  I'll try to make it soon for those of you who ... well ... for the Nonnas! in this world!

xoxox,
